I’ve been working in the early childhood education field for 38 years. I am now in my 21st year of running my own preschool. I absolutely love working with children and watching them grow and learn. I am constantly working to find ways to provide the best learning environment for my students both intellectually and socially. I want to provide a learning environment where children feel safe, loved, and respected. I provide hands-on learning experiences and activities to help children learn through play. I also prioritize creating factual lessons from a variety of perspectives. I teach my students about the world around them, nature, cultures, animals, community, family, health, holidays and traditions around the world. I make a point to keep up on the most current trends and ideas in early childhood education, while also staying true to the foundational methods that I have found to work best over my many years of teaching. I feel I have a good balance of old school and modern teaching styles. 

In addition to teaching preschool, I love spending time with my family, camping, traveling, or watching a good movie.
